Historical Sociolinguistics Young Researchers Forum
Vrije Universiteit Brussel, 31 January – 1 February 2025
The Historical Sociolinguistics Network (HiSoN), as sponsored by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) as part of its Historical Sociolinguistics Research and Training Program, is proud to announce the sixth edition of the Historical Sociolinguistics Young Researchers Forum (HSYRF).
This event is aimed at early career researchers – MA and PhD students, postdocs, and other young (at heart) researchers –, offering a mix of lectures, master classes and hands-on workshops on various topics relevant to anyone interested in historical sociolinguistics or language history more generally.
The Historical Sociolinguistics Research and Training Program is an FWO-funded partnership of 3 Flemish institutions (Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Universiteit Antwerpen, Universiteit Gent) and 17 international partner institutions (Universitetet i Agder, Libera Università di Bolzano, University of Cambridge, Universität Duisburg-Essen, University of East Anglia, Europa-Universität Flensburg, Göteborgs universitet, Helsingin yliopisto, Univerité de Lausanne, Universiteit Leiden, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Universidad de Murcia, Université de Namur, Universität Salzburg, University of Sheffield, Uppsala universitet, University of Warwick).
